This forest was calming and soothing to walk trough. I was out to continue my project with short dof panorama-pics and took several shots of different subjects but this was the only one i liked. Its a stitch of 43 (yes) images so you can imagine it took a while for my old comp to stich it together. I had to resize it a bit before i imported it to lightroom, it just would be to big otherwise. The original is full of details and work well as my wallpaper now.

 Lens: Yashica ML 35/2.8 @ 2.8
I really like my Yash 35, some say it's even better then Zeiss Distagon, i don't know i have not tested the Distagon. But the Yashica renders the image in a way that i like and it was cheap - what else to wish :) About the pic, it is kind of a triangle drama going on, who is looking on who here.. ;)
Have a nice day folks and i must say thanks to you all who visit my blog, it means a lot!

 Lens: Helios 44-2 58/2 + extension tube
This one i took testing my extension tubes i bought on ebay, together with my Helios and it worked well. I Have a macro lens already but it's fun to test other lenses, sometimes the result is quite different that way.
With spring my inspiration have awakened, oh nice!

 Lens: Helios 44-2 58/2 @ 2
I went out to test my new russian lens, a Helios 44-2. Its a old (manual) russian copy of Zeiss Biotar with a swirly kind of bokeh. Not always though, you can get a very nice smooth bokeh too, it depends on the aperture and distance to your subject. It's quite sharp even fully opened, but with a bit soft corners. I like it a lot and this pic of spring in form of crocus shows that its a lens with character.
I have tested and experimented a bit with what can be called "dof-panorama". A way to get a medium format kind of photo with short depth of field. I spray a lot of photos on and around the subject with the lens largest aperture and later stitch them together in PS or other prg to one big image. I have found it to be a bit more complex than i first thought.. it works on some sort of pics but not so well on others. The resulting image is big with a lot of details (over 100 megapixels sometimes). This one is from 13 images and works ok i think. More will follow later.
To me this is a sign that spring is here when snowdrops is popping up through the ground like this.
Yes there is still frost in the early mornings in Eskilstuna but spring is here finally. They say that it will to be like 15 degrees celsius this week and some sun as well, time for a photowalk i think!
From a photo walk the other day, a cold winter day with some nice sun shining upon us all. Playing a bit with my new wide angle macro lens too, and i like it a lot! I have decided to increase the size of my postings a bit too, i hope the bandwidth is worth it :)
I was in Gunnebo in Mölndal last week with bro and enjoyed a day with sunshine testing my new gear a bit. Because most of the lenses i use now with my NEX is old manual focus lenses and with an adapter i won't get any exif of aperture, i will instead write some info here about lens and such the best my poor mind can remember :)
